The big villa Patrizie was constructed between XVI and XVIII century, these villas are expressions of the styles in that particular period. These villas are hidden homes in the province in fact they are designed to give pleasure, leisure and most specially rest. The villas was constructed with artistic style, only in the Renascence period.

Cardinal Giulio de' Medici, then it became pope with the name Clemente VII, it ordered Raffaello for the construction of his home which is Villa Madama.
The most striking villa in the five hundred is the vast villa which was constructed in 1550 for Giulio III, that extends in the valley between the mounts of Pincio and Parioli which today remains only the structure that was designed by Vignola and from Ammannati, that today you can find it in the nazional Museum of the Ethruscans.

The villas of XVII and XVIII century have bigger dimension because they expanded even to the borders and the vine yards. One of the most beautiful is Villa Borghese, it was constructed by Cardinal Scipione; it also includes the various constructions surrounded by bushes and gardens.
Villa Sacchetti was also evident of this kind of expansion , but it's already gone, the opera of giovane Pietro from Cortona, surrounded by pigments near the Vatican.
